Description
French Basque Modernist round extension table by Victor Courtray (1896-1987) featuring bookmatch veneered top raised on four block legs wrapped with decorative channeled stack of 35 rings each joined by an apron below the top and an "X" form stretcher at the base. Original extension(s) missing, new one(s) can be custom made upon a sale at extra cost. Maximum opening 40 1/2", total length when fully extended 80" . In sycamore. Biarritz, France, late 1940's/early 1950's.
