A very fine and elegant circa 1820 English regency solid mahogany drop-leaf two drawer sofa table by renowned London cabinet-maker William Wilkinson of false double-sided form having eye-dazzling calamander inlay to edges, drawer-fronts, reverse 'dummy' drawer frieze, legs, and turned stretcher bar on original foliate cast brass end-caps and casters. Stamped on the top of the left drawer "Wilkinson Ludgate Hill" and the right drawer with stamped inventory or model number. Open width is 58.5". An exceptional example.
