This charming brooch was designed in 1905 two years after the Wiener Werkstätte was established in 1903.
Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser brought the Wiener Werkstätte into being with the financial backing of there patron Friedrich Waerndorfer.
This wonderful little piece of WW jewelry is one of many outstanding designs that he created from 1905 till 1907 when he left. A great designer many decades ahead of his time.
