Description
A bespoken bronze brooch by French Parisian art jeweler Line Vautrin (1913-1997) circa 1946 named "À La Gloire des Phoques" (The glory of the seals). This bronze brooch features a seal with relief statement on its body: A la gloire des phoques ce bijou est dedie. Tu nous vetis otaries, lions de mer, loutres lointaines, noires et dorees. Et nous femmes en cette annee 1946 t'en rendons grace par cette sorte de vivant ex voto". The brooch has an attractive gold gilded surface and was stamped verso "Line Vautrin".
