Description
A brooch in gilded bronze by French art jeweler Line Vautrin circa 1950-60s. The unusual model depicts the mathematical sign of infinity, on which appears in relief inscription of the extract of L'Enfer by Dante Alighieri (1265-1321). "A L'autre rive je viens vous mener, sur une nef un vieillard blanc en son antique poil et criait gare a vous ames noires, n'esperez point de jamais voir le ciel."
Monogrammed on the back LV. it measures 2.5"w x 1.5"h x 0.2"d.
