Description
Designed by Bulgari, these flexible gold pendant earrings are set with diamonds and nearly seven carats of rubies. Each rectangular pendant centers a fancy hexagonal-cut ruby framed by pave-set round brilliant-cut diamonds, joined by flexible gold curb link chains with diamond highlights to a conforming ruby and diamond top. A glamorous and graphic form by the great Italian proponents of colored gems, these earrings lend movement along with rich red color and diamond sparkle to enhance the face and eyes.
Size: 1.50’’ length, 0.50’’ width
Materials: 2 Larger hexagonal-cut rubies (approximate total weight 5.00 carats); 2 Smaller hexagonal-cut rubies (approximate total weight 1.70 carats); 90 Round brilliant-cut diamonds (approximate total weight 1.60 carats); 18K Gold
Signed: "Bvlgari"
A connoisseur who quietly built one of the great jewelry collections of the late 20th century, Andy Warhol loved the jewels Bulgari was designing in the 1980s, and owned pieces from the “Monete” collection. He once said, “When I am in Rome I always visit Bulgari, because it is the most important museum of contemporary art.” -
