Description
The striking Hex Crescent Necklace, by acclaimed European jewelry artist Jo Hayes Ward, is a refined expression of sculptural design and meticulous craftsmanship. Handcrafted in 18k warm white gold, the crescent-shaped drop features Jo’s signature intricately fabricated hexagonal pixel elements, rendered with extraordinary precision by means of the ancient art of lost wax combined alongside ultra-modern 3D printing. The dimensional texture catches light from every angle, creating depth and distinctive brilliance.
Scattered across the surface are champagne brilliant-cut diamonds, delicately set to shimmer subtly against the warm white gold. Their organic placement enhances the celestial feel of the piece, evoking constellations across a luminous horizon rather than a traditional, symmetrical diamond layout.
The necklace is finished with a handmade toggle clasp, designed both for beauty and versatility. The clasp allows the necklace to be worn at 19 inches or 22 inches, offering multiple styling options—from an elegant collar-length statement to a longer, layered look.
Celebrated for her distinctive surfaces and architectural forms, Jo Hayes Ward jewelry is sought after by collectors who value originality, craftsmanship, and understated luxury. This luxury diamond necklace is both modern and timeless—a wearable work of art and future heirloom.
About the Maker - Jo Hayes Ward lives and works in London, where she studied at the Royal College of Art and the Camberwell College of Art. Prior to opening her own studio, Jo apprenticed with a number of talented London jewelers, including Scott Wilson, Disa Allsopp and Jane Adam. Jo is at the forefront of design innovation, using cutting-edge, prototyping technology that incorporates CAD design and three-dimensional printing to create three-dimensional wax models. Her signature collection is constructed from thousands of tiny gold or silver cubes, resulting in modern pieces that glow, shimmer and come alive when worn. Jo’s jewelry is desired and worn by independent, unassuming and confident women all over the world.
