Description
Ed Ruscha's Every Building on the Sunset Strip framed. Iconic 1966 book photographed by Ed Ruscha shows every building from Laurel to Doheny on both North and South sides of Sunset Blvd. Book framed is over 24 feet long divided into 3 parts and placed behind UV plexi, but not glued or mounted. Amazing historical document, nostalgic keepsake and collectors item. Priced for complete set of 3. For Every Building on the Sunset Strip, Ruscha mounted a motorized Nikon to the back of a pick-up truck and photograped every building he passed. The resulting book, with the pictures printed in order and labeled with their street numbers, achieved an effective non-judgemental and almost anthropological record of previously unexplored details and aspects of the urban experience. Second Edition of 5000 copies (originally published in 1966 in an edition of 1000 copies).
