Photographed by Mark Shaw for LIFE's June 1959 article "Bedecked Beach Hats hit the City" this image shows five models sporting an array of amusingly decorated beach hats. The convertible parked on a New York side street is a Jaguar XK150DHC, 1957-61, the last of the solid rear axle sportsters.
