Airplane Posters Modernist Constructivist Design

This is a set of six English Aviation posters created by the Directorate of Air Traffic and Safety in 1946. Although not signed, the striking modernist works in the style of Edward McKnight Kauffer a very well known illustrator from this period. Examples of these posters exist in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England. Each poster measures 22" x 17" and are in very good condition. Creased as issued. There is also one small crease to the top right corner of 'Check Brakes' and a light water stain on the right rear stabilizer in 'Line Up Runway' The posters are framed in a very thin black metal frames and under glass, hence some reflection in photos. They are very decorative images for a den, office, library, hanger or bedroom. Reasonably priced.
