Paul Cezanne 'House in Auvers' Etching 1914

  • Description
    Original nice landscape etching in quality carved wood frame set within a gold leaf inner frame surrounded by a linen mat. Done by French artist Paul Cezanne (1839-1906). Out of a series of etchings, circa 1914 for ‘homage to Cezanne', the original printed in color 1873. Titled "House in Auvers'. There is some light water damage to the mat, not Affecting the etching. This was probably framed and mounted, circa 1960 due to the style of the Brutalist wood frame. The image itself measures at 4 1/2 " wide and 5" high. The inner gold leaf frame measures at 6" wide and 6 1/2" high.
