Downtown Loft
This spacious loft was designed for a client who entertains extensively. Warmth and softness was created throughout the vast expansive apartment using bold and rich colors throughout. The entry foyer, lacquered in a deep rich egg-plant tone with gilded accents, doubles as an intimate library space, with a sofa tucked in-between a pair bookcases. The main living area features a European enfilade style furniture arrangement; featuring an intimate and formal foreground seating area and a more luxurious and casual background seating grouping at the window wall corner with a French 40’s inspired turnabout taking advantage of the corner windows and views through. The dining table is light and airy, custom designed as a slab of glass floating on an intricate grid-work interlocking of brass members. The apartment in an eclectic mix of vintage mid-century modern furniture, new upholstery, antiques and eastern influenced items. The language of the apartment is contemporary, streamlined, with color to offset sleekness.
