Staff
Vani Sayeed is a Newton, MA based interior designer and artist. Vani grew up in India and spent much of her childhood admiring the artistic creativity of her mother. She earned her BFA in interior design at one of the nation’s most prestigious schools, the Sir J. J. School of Art, in Mumbai. Vani moved to the USA in 1998 and obtained her MFA in design from the University of Iowa.
Vani’s design and artistic aesthetic is strongly influenced by her rich, cross-cultural exposures and experiences. Her love for art, architecture, and world travel has helped her develop a unique global style that both respects tradition and embraces new ideas.
Winner of multiple PRISM Awards, for Interior Design, Vani was recently featured on HGTV's "White Room Challenge". Her work was has been showcased in the Boston Globe, New England Home, Design New England, Cybele, Boston Magazine, Flower Couture Magazine and ArtScope. She sits on the Baldwin Design Council, advising on product development.
A mother of two children, she believes good design accommodates a certain degree of pragmatism: form, function, and beauty are intimately related. She strives to create compositions of spaces that are visually striking, inspiring and always comfortable.
