Description
A prototype by Dutch sculptor Wessel Couzyn in plaster depicting a blacksmith with hammer. Signed at base. Couzyn attended the Dutch Royal Academy of Plastic Arts in the late 1930s and was awarded the Prix de Rome in that time to study in Italy. Some bronze works can be found at the Jewish Heritage Museum in Amsterdam.
