Description
A very unusual large Planetarium model, made during the 19 th Century, there are no maker's mark but we believe it is American. Made from hand hammered bronze with wooden planets that spin on metal orbits. Mounted on a cast iron base. This model is quite heavy & has no visible damage. There is age patina and the feather of the arrow that passes through has a slight bend. This can be straightened if desired, but it should be done by a professional metal restorer. The planetarium makes a very decorative kinetic object for an office, library or den. We believe this to be a rare item as we have never seen another one before.
