Pair of Warren McArthur Armchairs Style No. 1044A 1933/34
-
Description
Two early aluminum armchairs manufactured in Rome, New York by the Warren McArthur Corporation during the first two years of production at that factory.
The chairs are in a line re-upholstery probably during the early 1960s in this colorfully striped canvas. Both model 1044 armchairs have the first decals issued by McArthur in Rome, N.Y. (Patent Applied For) accurately dating them from 1933 or 1934.
The chairs are in excellent vintage condition with one replaced rubber foot and a small crack in the lowest stretcher bar floor tube (see image 10). This is for the moment immovable and does not effect the structural integrity of the frame or the chair's overall use.
The chairs are in excellent vintage condition. -
