Secessionist Table Lamp for Wiener Keramik

Description
Incredible reversed-tiered torchiere table lamp with hand-painted starburst design. The underside of the tiered levels are pierced to project a light pattern downward. Bertold Loffler was the founder of the Wiener Werkstatte ceramic studio, along with Michael Powolny. A lamp form in such a exaggerated geometric design is an exceedingly rare and exceptional example of his work. Stamped to the underside with the Wiener Keramik insignia and Lofflers cipher.
