Sold Sold
  • Description
    Dimensions: 40 5/8″H x 39 3/4″W x 18 3/4″D

An antique English military style campaign chest of drawers that is extremely handsome, with a refined and confident stance. Campaign chests often break down into two or more pieces, allowing for easier transportation. This five-drawer chest breaks into two pieces. This is a true campaign chest made for English officers going on military campaigns or lengthy stays in Britain’s colonies. The classic brass banding reinforces the chest, as these antiques were carted all over the globe, seeing frequent use. Each drawer is outfitted with the classic campaign flush mounted brass drop pulls. The two bodies each have styled brass bail handles with the whole chest supported by bracket feet. c.1830.
