Set Of Eight Chippendale Style Mahogany Dining Chairs 20th Century

Description
This is a beautifully crafted set of eight dining chairs in the Chippendale taste. There is a small branding mark on the underside reading SUTTON, the chairs otherwise remaining unmarked. Crisp carving in the splats of each chair highlights little curls of acanthus in the ears and the center of each ribbon. The set is comprised of two arm chairs with beautiful scrolled handholds and six side chairs, each with a yellow vinyl upholstered slip seat that drops into the curved frame. The chairs rest over marlborough squared legs and retain a gorgeous original finish, now having oxidized and darkened from time and careful use. They are very well crafted set with careful attention to detail throughout.
Measurements: 27” W [arm chairs] x 21 1/2” D x 37 1/2” H, 17 3/8” H to seat
Condition Report:
Vinyl seats worn, some more significantly than others; they should be changed. Scuffs and minor wear to mahogany. -
