Description
Copper sculpture. One of a kind piece.
"For this copper piece "Route 258", I wanted to make a rib. I like the fracture side, aspect net, river flowing in the bottom of the canyon.
I started by doing all the nudging of my piece. The latter being empty I could only rough it down from the outside to the inside and from the inside to the outside. Then to refine the work I annealed and filled with wax.
In silverware (the work of silver) as in brassware (the work of copper) the work of the sheet is the same, only the material changes. Once my piece is filled with wax, she stands, she is compact, I can at this time refine the rough work of preparation.
I wanted to marry curve and different hammers. Once you have started making a certain hammering, set a certain curve, you have to continue and make the work harmonious. In addition to the hammering work that required a lot of hammer blows, the decorative carving has still required thousands, with more or less strong strikes and different hammers." -
