Description
This low, sculptural coffee table by Jacques Jarrige is hand-carved from MDF and finished with a luminous white lacquer on the exterior. The interior is lined with silver leaf, creating a striking contrast and adding an unexpected, reflective glow within the carved voids. With its fluid, organic shape and open forms on either side, Cloud is both functional and poetic—a table that lives as much in space as it does in form.
As in much of Jarrige’s work, this piece explores the dynamic relationship between mass and emptiness, light and shadow. The openings invite air and light to pass through, lending the table a sense of movement and breath. The curves are not symmetrical or calculated, but rather the result of a slow, intuitive process—what Jarrige describes as “drawing in space.” His sculptural gesture is ever-present, giving the work a sense of soul and quiet energy.
The silver leaf interior enriches the depth and luminosity of the piece, while the smooth white lacquer enhances its soft, tactile quality. Cloud is a meditation on volume, gesture, and presence—transforming humble material into a refined and expressive object.
Custom sizes and finishes are available upon request, allowing Cloud to be tailored to a variety of interiors while preserving its sculptural identity. -
