Description
A pair of early 17th century oak panels. Each panel marquetried with floral designs beneath an arch enriched with carved flower-heads entwined in a guilloche band with leafy embellishments to the corners. The marquetry probably in sycamore and ebony. The edges having later applied beading stamped with punchwork ornamentation. These pieces were probably door panels to a cabinet.
