Philip Arctander, (1916-1994), “Clam” Rocking Chair, produced by Sune Johanssons Mo?belfabrik in Na?ssjo?. Circa 1950th. Upholstered frame, moulded armrests and curved legs. Fitted with detachable rocking chair runners.
Dimensions: 80 x 66 x 75 cm.
Originally designed for Nordisk Staal & Mo?bel Central in Denmark, designed in 1944. Minor signs of wear. Earlier the chair has been attributed to Martin Olsen, Norway. The lounge chair was designed for Nordisk Staal & Mo?bel Central in Denmark but has also been produced under licence by Vik & Blindheim, Sykkylven in Norway. The chair here was produced by Sune Johanssons Mo?belfabrik in Na?ssjo?, the third known producer of the chair.
