    Exceedingly original, rare and a quite beautiful example of great English Georgian Furniture. A mahogany bench - stool - hall seat of the best chosen timbers with the most glorious colour and natural patination in this unique mid 18th century manner. There are several similar pieces known to exist - one at Oxford University in the Brasenose Library, and similar Rococo decorated ones at Petworth House, Sussex. No doubt this example has come from one of our great English homes.
