George II Burr Walnut and Parcel Gilt Mirror in the Kentian Style

Description
This mirror is of very high quality with beautifully figured walnut and an exceptional quality swans neck cresting, with foliate attachments centered by an acanthus and c-scrolled carved cartouche of unusual depth. The sides with gilt pendant foliage, the upper and lower sections with egg and dart border, the mirror plate within a foliate carved and gilt slip.
It is unusual to find a William Kent design mirror of this style with a flat apron. -

The beveled rectangular mirror plate original, but resilvered with some faults.
