PAIR of LOVÖ STOOLS BY AXEL EINAR HJORTH
-
Description
Sweden’s most accomplished furniture designer Axel Einar Hjorth is renowned for his elegant 1920’s “Swedish Grace” furniture pieces many of which had a delicate and refined reference to Neo-classicism.
At the beginning of the 1930’s Hjorth took another direction and created a collection of furniture which were ultra modern in their design and chose the most humble of woods from which to make them, pine. These Lovô stools capture Scandinavian design at its finest, practical, understated yet brilliantly conceived and executed. Lovö stools are seldom seen and a pair is even rarer. Produce by NK (Nordiska Kompaniet), Sweden.
