Description
A very handsome antique carpet from the Heriz region of NW Persia (Iran) - an older example that is labelled "Serapi". A classic type, popular in the West since the end of the nineteenth century. Excellent range of natural dyes. The camel colored main border is rare and lightens up the overall presence. Increasingly hard-to-find.
