Description
Pair of Oak armchairs designed by Steen Østergaard, manufactured by Stol-Ex. Denmark 1962
This pair of oak armchairs where designed for the Danish Television “TV-Huset” by Steen Østergaard in 1962 and reflect the Danish aesthetic for refined and clean design. The chairs have a playful take on construction with 3 smooth linear legs, circular and rectangle connection joints and a spherical floating back. The wood on this particalur works has aged beautifully and remains in great condition. The works have been reupholstered in a premium bouclé fabric.
Interior Architect Steen Østergaard and 1st prize winner of “Furniture of the Future 1965” and twice winner of the International furniture design competition 1960 &1963 is a celebrated Danish Furniture designer to this day. -
