Pair of French 19th Century Andirons

Sold Sold
  • Description
    Dimensions: 22″H x 9-1/4″W x 23″D

This fine and heavy pair of columnar iron andirons, c. 1850’s, was forged in France. Each guard is outfitted with a hook and five ratcheting attachments for hanging pots or spits at varying levels. The iron has taken on a lovely patina thanks to years of fires enjoyed by the previous owners. The design is conservative and classic, with scrolled iron front feet providing a bit of flair.
