    Antique 19th century English Chippendale style armchair made in finely carved mahogany. The chair's back has a shaped top rail carved with scrolling foliate designs. This back has superbly carved open splats with carved scroll decoration. The chair's front legs are of cabriole design with superbly carved scroll decorations which extend from the top of the leg down to its ball and claw foot. The chair's back legs have splay design.The drop-in seat is a floral tapestry. The tapestry is designed with a center classical urn holding flowers, in lovely colors that are beautiful near the mahogany.
