    Reference: The Hains attribution is based on Lisa Minardi’s article entitled “Adams Hains and the Philadelphia-Reading Connection” on pages 143-202, specifically the pembroke table in figure 2, in Chipstone’s American Furniture 2014. Please also see the card tables in Horner’s Blue Book: Philadelphia Furniture, plate 266 and Joseph Downs American Furniture; Queen Anne and Chippendale Periods in the Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum, number 346.
