Pair of Wiener Werkstatte Brass Bowls by Dagobert Peche

  • Description
    A pair of brass bowl in stepped concentric form designed by Dagobert Peche (Austrian, 1887-1923) and for Wiener Werkstatte circa 1910-20s. In the iconic style of Vienna Secession, these small bowls take a geometrical form and were subtly decorated with stars in the interior. The base is marked both by the logo of Wiener Werkstatte and the artist's signature.
    Dagobert Peche is one of the key artist members of the secession movement. He is renowned for his design using a modern baroque decorative motifs in metalwork, glass and other media. He joined the Wiener Werkstatte in 1915 became a co-director thereof in 1916.
