Description
Very fine early 19th century carved ebony writing slope, the exterior richly carved with foliate decoration, the interior profusely inlaid with bone dots forming floral geometric patterns and fitted with inkwells, pen case, roller and secret spring loaded compartment, with lined writing surface, Sri Lanka (then Ceylon), circa 1820.
