Paul Snell

Australian
Paul Snell is an Australian-based contemporary artist whose work resides at the intersection of photography and abstraction. Trained in digital processes, he creates vivid, non-representational visual experiences by transforming photographed data—such as color, form, and focus—into chromogenic prints face-mounted on plexiglass. Using repetition, rhythm, and digital manipulation, Snell isolates the intrinsic qualities of light and color, producing immersive artworks that feel both minimal and richly layered.

Based in Tasmania and previously exhibited across Australia, the U.S., Europe, and Asia, Snell’s pieces are held in public and private collections, including Art Bank and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. His work has earned art-prize recognition and is represented by IdeelArt and partner galleries.
