Description
A striking and large cube-shaped box with tumbling block marquetry with elaborate exotic wood inlay on all sides. The lid features artful inlaid wood arrayed in geometric pattern framing a unique central medallion of an eight sided cube; all resting on the original beveled edge base with mitered joints. The interior is paper-lined in red. The box has a working lock and key. English circa 1850
