Art Deco Bronze female statue by Paule Bisman entitled ”Serenite”. A high quality bronze was produced with only 12 examples ever made, this is number 4/12. Paule Bisman was a Belgian sculptor and painter who lived from 1897-1973 . Serenite is a reclining nude in bronze with verdigris patina on an original raised marble base with beveled edge. There is a beautiful signature on the bronze. A skilled sculpture with attention to fine details such as the hands, fingers, feet,. The posture and pose reinforce the quality of the artist.
