This Benson & Hedges humidor was made and owned by Mr. John Bethune Stein who was a scientist who studied diseases of the mouth for physicians and dental students.
Mr. John Bethune Stein was a decend from a very important Scottish family going back to the 2st Robert the First, Lord of Bethune and of Richebourg, who received the appointment year 1011 to 1036 of "Advoue D'Arras", or proctor and defender of the Church of Arras.
This family heald many important rolls in there thousand years of duty in Europe and around the world.
There is a great deal of history on this family which is very interesting.
This cigar humidor hold a large history of events. A great collectors item, signed on lock with traditional plaque, original key. -
