Description
Beautiful large Empire Wall Mirror, bright mahogany, carved black decor, South Germany, circa 1810.
The wood is mahogany veneer and solid wood, which has been bleached and stained for a brighter color tone. Still the old mirror glass. Hand-polished with shellac (French Polish).
Wonderful original carved ebonized wood decor at the top and bottom depicting acanthus leaves, dolphins and tendrils.
