Description
1950s Flush Mount ceiling light by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi. Executed in sculpturally curved opaline glass and black painted metal. A highly refined design reminiscent of the work of Bruno Gatta for Stilnovo. Lumi was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Oscar Torlasco was their master. Their lamps stand apart in terms of both functionality and originality. Rewired for US electrical with black cord and period styled black wall plug. Professionally repainted. Accommodates 3x 60w equivalent LED US candelabra bulbs (lower with incandescent). Some minor patina, scuffs and scratches as largely documented in the images and noted only for accuracy.
