Description
Late Edo period (mid 19th century) ceramic vase from Bizen, one of the six ancient kilns in Japan. Unusual undulating rim, with traditional potter's marks around the top. Beautiful natural glaze and interesting "handles" at the shoulder. Seal on the bottom of the vase reads: Jo-ichi. Comes in kiri wood collector's box.
