Description
This sophisticated cocktail table designed by Bernhard Rohne and realized for the esteemed American maker, Mastercraft, circa 1970. The brass interior of the frame features organic and futuristic acid etched detailing- suggesting the forms of Yves Tanguy and H.R. Geiger- against a ombre backdrop in hues of moss, sage, umber and juniper. This acid etched brass strip is framed on either side by lacquered wood. The interior of the piece offers a translucent glass panel, imbuing the piece with a greater feeling of lightness. With its beautiful and idiosyncratic decorative details, and iconic design, this cocktail table is sure to delight discerning collectors of first rate Mid-Century Modern design, as well as those with a penchant for beautiful objects. Excellent vintage condition.
