Description
An Ottoman Iznik border tile, circa 1580, of rectangular form, the glazed fritware painted in underglaze turquoise, cobalt blue, black and raised sealing-wax red with single white flowerhead against a continuous band of interlocking cloud-scrolls and feathery saz leaves, one edge with a turquoise border, mounted. Turkish, c1600.
