A rare French Mid-Century Modern sideboard, credenza or cabinet by Jean Royere, circa 1940-1950.
The sideboard is composed of a sober underlying hardwood structure with an elegant overlying thin bamboo facade in a chevron / diamond / "Croissilon" pattern. The legs are composed of bamboo and angled diagonally. Two original solid brass keys complete the piece. -
