Description
Very decorative Painted Bench with a serpentine shaped high back, decorated with a scenic landscape and framed by leafy scrolls, foliate seat rail and remains of polychrome on the seat, turned, splayed legs connected by a conforming stretcher, enhanced with a center finial.

Origin: Italy Period: 18th Century Materials: Wood, painted Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. Mostly original paint, scattered inpainting, especially on the base. Some old, inactive insect damage to the rear of the back. Our restorers can take care of retouch and polish as desired.
