Beautiful sideboard/credenza by Renzo Rutili for Johnson Furniture Company. Executed in walnut and brass, comprised of three bays that sit on a singular base.
Lorenzo (Renzo) R. Rutili 1901-1966
Lorenzo (Renzo) Rutili was born in Donora, Pennsylvania in 1901. He was educated at Carnegie Institute, and studied design in Europe for several years. Mr. Rutili was designer for Johnson Furniture Company for 30 years, followed by three years as designer for Tomlinson of High Point, North Carolina. Mr. Rutili was a designer, salesman, and lecturer as well as past president of the Grand Rapids Furniture Designers Association, 1940. He died May 26, 1966. -
