Description
20th century Spanish silver Rococo style tea and coffee service
Spanish, 20th Century
Kettle on stand: Height 44cm, width 23cm, depth 16cm
Milk jug: Height 12cm, width 13cm, depth 9cm
Comprising of a solid silver tray, teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl, milk jug, strainer, and large kettle with stand, this seven-piece set is designed in the ornately decorative Rococo style.
All pieces in the service are conformingly designed, with the bodies of each pot featuring bulbous bottoms and fluted tops. They are all decorated with a twisted design, further adorned with foliate and floral details. They are all supported by four curved legs, acanthus leaf adorned handles, and rocaille-like finials on each lid.
The silver is hallmarked with a five-point star to indicate 915 purity, and a bird within a hexagon to denote the Spanish maker's mark. - More Information
