Description
A fine quality and well proportioned French 19th Century Napoleon III gilt wood and gesso cushion mirror.
French Circa 1880.
Of octagonal form, profusely decorated with palmettes, acanthus leaves, foliate scrolls and central cartouche to the top and bottom. Having original mirror plates, the central bevelled plate sitting forward with gilt beading, surrounded by sectional angled bevelled plates and egg and dart border. This form is known as a cushion mirror.
In excellent condition, a good quality well proportioned mirror of substantial size.
