Mado Jolain 1921-2019 ceramic vase with black, white and grey abstract drawings on each surface with very pale undertones of mauve and pink and a glazed interior.
With handle. Signed MJ.
Iconic abstract drawings and forms of the French ceramic artist Mado Jolain. Mado Jolain was born in Paris in 1921.
During the Occupation, she joined the School of Decorative Arts in Paris and the drawing and sculpture workshops at La Grande Chaumière. In 1950, the ceramic workshop Mado Jolain moved to Montrouge.
No chips or restorations. Excellent condition.
