Pair of antique French giltwood torchère stands
French, late 19th Century
Height 90cm, diameter 38cm
This fine pair of torch猫re stands is a superb example of the Rococo style. Each stand features a tripod base with three scrolled feet. The central baluster column of each is intricately carved with foliate detailing, including grasping acanthus leaves and rosettes. Each stand culminates in a wide circular plateau carved with further foliate designs. The stands are warmly gilt. - More Information
