Description
Dimensions: 86-?”H x 51-¾”W x 25-?”D
This is a beautiful, French 19th century burl mahogany secretary. There is a cornice over the top of the piece, with a pair of glass doors underneath. It has two adjustable shelves for book storage or displaying collectables. Three drawers with wood pulls rest below the bookcase and another three drawers with locks and two keys below that. Three faux drawers are across the back of the writing surface which pulls out and pushes in when not in use. The writing surface has fantastic bookmatched mahogany veneers on it. The height of the writing surface is 29-¾”. Below the writing surface are drawers. On the right, there is one large drawer with compartments inside. On the left, there are two drawers. All these drawers open with the unusual clover key that opens the bookcase. There is a knee hole in between. The legs are turned and fluted. This is a wonderful piece! -
